This antique Tabriz carpet is a modern interpretation of a classic Persian pattern whose origin lies in the early 17th century. The field is divided into small panels each with a natural motif in shades of rust, beige, moss green, soft blue and brown. The four sections are divided by crossing bands which repeat a carpet in miniature. Very good condition with minimum wear consistent with age. Measures 9'6" x 13'6". Period: 1880.
